I read over the NC manifesto and agenda. In J&K, it promises that the party will reinstate Article 370. According to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Home Minister declared at a press conference in Jammu, “Let me tell you that Article 370 has been buried forever and it won’t come back,” before publishing the J&K party manifesto. We plan to publish a white paper detailing the 40,000 killings that have occurred in J&K over the course of the last thirty years, along with an accountability report.

He stated that J&K’s unification into the Union of India has always been a goal for the BJP. Jihad and terrorism afflicted J&K up until 2014. Today, “Article 370 and Article 35 are not the party of our constitution anymore,” Shah remarked, attributing this to the efforts and historic decision on August 5, 2019.

Arbitering senior Congressman Rahul Gandhi, Shah demanded Rahul clarify whether he and his party agree with the NC manifesto, which calls for the reinstatement of Article 370 and the release of stone-pelters and convicts who have supported secession. Additionally, Shah dared NC to believe that no authority could ever affect the Gujjar and Bakerwal reservations.

Would Rahul and his party be in favor of a resurgence of separatist and terrorism in J&K? Rahul is in favor of Article 370 and the reinstatement of two flags. He declined to respond. However, it is important to note that Rahul strongly endorses the NC manifesto, according to Shah.

“I, as a Home Minister, have promised on the floor of the house that Statehood will be granted to J&K at an appropriate time after Assembly polls,” he stated in response to a question regarding the restoration of Statehood to J&K. So why make demands for something is already agreed upon? Shah stated that discussions and terrorism cannot coexist regarding the potential for talks with Pakistan. “Unless Pakistan stops terrorism, we will speak with the youth of Kashmir, not Pakistan.”he stated. When asked if trade with Pakistan might begin, he responded by saying that trade creates the conditions for terrorism. “So, until terrorism exists, there is no question of trade with Pakistan,” he declared.

About the partnership, he stated that the BJP will keep its options open, with the exception of the three families—the Gandhis, Abdullahs, and Muftis. “There will be no NC, PDP, or Congress government in J&K, that much is certain.”
