Badlapur School News: Following claims of two young girls being sexually abused, the principal of a school in Thane, Maharashtra, and two staff members were suspended. The Badlapur railway station experienced service disruptions after parents blocked train tracks in protest and demanded justice. A school attendant was taken into custody by the police, who also started taking action against authorities and the administration of the school.
In Badlapur, in the Thane district of Maharashtra, there was a protest on Tuesday that became violent in response to allegations of sexual abuse of two girls during school. Authorities claim that during a rail blockade, protesters stoned the local train station and damaged the school. The protest caused many commuters’ annoyance at the railway station by interfering with train movements. There was still protesting, with some protesters throwing stones, despite attempts by the police and authorities to mediate. Government Railway Police (GRP) Commissioner Ravindra Shisve arrived at the station to assist in dispersing the mob after the situation was eventually brought under control. At an English-medium school in Thane, a member of the cleaning staff sexually assaulted two KG class girls, ages three and four.

Badlapur: Train Services Affected
Around 8 a.m., parents and locals congregated at the Badlapur train station to form a roadblock and draw attention to their demands against the administration. Railroad traffic on the Up and Down lines was impeded by the demonstration.

The girls allegedly told their parents that the attendant had handled them improperly, which prompted the filing of a complaint under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). After that, the attendant was taken into custody by the police.
The principal, a classroom teacher, and a female attendant were suspended for their roles in the incident, according to a late Monday evening announcement from the school administration. Additionally, the management apologized and said the offending housekeeping company has been placed on a blacklist.
The school administration announced that “vigilance on the school premises will be increased in the wake of the incident.”
The police station in-charge was transferred by the Badlapur police because of claims that they had done nothing when the parents first came to them.
Massive Protests Emerge in Badlapur News
Several parents gathered outside the school this morning, calling for severe punishment to be taken against the offending parties. They soon made their way to the railroad tracks with banners and placards, followed by a large number of ladies from the community. They yelled catchphrases calling for responsibility.
While attempting to calm the demonstrators, the police and other officials are having difficulty controlling the situation.
In response to the issue, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway Swapnil Nila said, “The agitation was going on at the railway station in connection with an incident in a Badlapur school.”
To express outrage over the tragedy, a number of organizations have asked for a bandh in Badlapur. Local MLA Kisan Kathore has brought the matter to the attention of the authorities, demanding that the police and the perpetrators face severe consequences.
