At the Army’s Temporary Operating Base (TOB) in the Doda area of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, militants opened fire, injuring five troops and one special police officer. There was also a terrorist slain in the gunfight.
The source informed India Today that the injured were sent to the Sub-District hospital in Bhaderwah for treatment.

The ambush attack on security forces has been attributed to the Kashmir Tigers, a terror organization associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Late on Tuesday night, terrorists assaulted a joint Army and police checkpost in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir. This was the third such occurrence in the previous 72 hours.

Official reports claim that after several bullets were fired at the temporary operating base (TOB) in the isolated Chattargala region, numerous security personnel were dispatched to the scene.

“Army and Police Joint Naka has engaged a terrorist in the Chattargala area of Doda,” tweets ADGP Jammu. There is a firefight going on.

Kashmir Tigers, a local terror group supported by the Pakistani branch of Jaish-e-Mohammed, has taken credit for the attack and stated that it resulted in the deaths of multiple Indian security officers.
Security troops were conducting search operations to apprehend militants in the Doga region at the time of the strike.

Three days after the events in Kathua and Reasi, it was the third attack of that kind. The Doda incident happened just hours after militants opened fire on a house in the Kathua area of Jammu and Kashmir, killing one of them in a shootout with security personnel. Ten people were killed and thirty-three injured when militants opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims from a shrine in the Reasi area of Jammu and Kashmir on June 9.

The same group of terrorists, according to sources, was responsible for May 4’s attack on an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in Poonch. A bounty has been placed on the heads of terrorists, and police have begun to circulate sketches of them.

Anand Jain, the additional director general of police for Jammu and Kashmir, mentioned the three occurrences in a statement, saying, “It is our hostile neighbor, who always tries to damage the peaceful environment in our country.” This terror incident in Hiranagar seems to be the result of a recent infiltration. While the hunt is still on for the other terrorist, the first terrorist has been eliminated.
